What was recorded

A red figure standing in a dark workshop at night
EX-01 · 00:36
A latch turns from the wrong side. Red on grey, and it is the first saturated colour since the room went dark.
A green figure standing between the intruder and the doorway
EX-02 · 00:40
Green steps between him and the door. He does not bark. He stands there and fills the frame. Green appears three times in the whole film and this is the last of them.
A black frame
EX-03 · 00:45 · no footage
Four seconds of black. One sound, not a cry, a single hard object hitting concrete, once. Nothing was filmed here and nothing was going to be. This exhibit is the whole file.
A yellow figure standing in a doorway in the morning
EX-04 · 00:48
Morning. He is in the doorway and he does not enter and he does not speak. On the floor near his feet: green, for one frame, and then the camera tilts away.
Three red figures in a grey symmetrical office
EX-05 · 01:18
Three red shapes in a grey room and nothing else in frame has colour. Bobel stands between them and he is exactly the wrong size for the composition.
A figure asleep in a chair on a floor covered in loose bricks
EX-06 · 01:38
A chair, dead centre, at the far end of an empty warehouse. He is asleep. The floor is the only object in the film that is neither yellow on red nor red on yellow.
A rover with headlights up on a dark floor
EX-07 · 01:44 · AC-01
The Rover. Charcoal chassis, yellow wheels, dark red tracks, which is LeBob's own palette, so the theft reads instantly. Headlights up. Foot down.
The rover stopped short on a floor of loose bricks
EX-08 · 01:48
The Rover locks up and stops. In the beam, covering the whole floor between the bumper and the chair: loose Lego, studs up, thousands of pieces. The music stops the moment the headlights hit it.
Extreme close-up of Bobel's face
EX-09 · 01:52
Held one full second longer than is comfortable. His face is a fixed drawn expression and there are no sweat drops, no shake lines and no pop eyes. He is funny because he cannot react.
A rifle drawn in flat colour and single-weight outline
EX-10 · 01:55
Case latch. Magazine in. Correct weight, correct recoil, correct ejection, because the joke dies if the drawing is careless. Three frames of muzzle flash. Then black.
Two figures at opposite ends of a workshop
EX-11 · 02:03
Opposite ends of the room. He speaks flat and there is no anger in it. He wants the Rover back second. Bobel is already moving toward the door.

Exhibit 03 is the important one.

It is four seconds of nothing, and it is the only thing on this site that he does not put his name to.
